Divorce can be tough for everyone in the family. This can be true no matter the situation or how long your marriage lasted.

Things can get even more difficult if there are children involved, and if there are any signs of parental alienation. By knowing the signs you can help identify it and take action if needed.

Look out for the signs

One of the first signs to look out for when it comes to parental alienation is a change in attitude from your children. If your kids suddenly become moodier, or less interested in spending time with you, it could be due to the fact that the other parent is working to alienate them from you. Another sign is that they suddenly refuse to spend time with you, or come up with excuses not to visit. Additionally, if they begin to blame you for things that are not your fault, then this could be another sign.

Listen to your instincts

When it comes to parental alienation, there can be a wide range of signs. However, these signs are likely to differ in each situation. The best way to identify it is to make sure that you are listening to your instincts and to take them seriously if you feel that parental alienation is occurring.

Divorce can be a difficult path for many, especially if there are children involved. By knowing the signs of parental alienation, you can help prevent it or take the right actions to stop it before it can develop further.
